In 2000 he made a series of drawings and paintings of Miyako in rehearsal at Covent Garden, those works were exhibited in Tokyo. His 2005 impression 'Miyako - Magic' is part reality and part abstract in the role of Giselle, Miyako is instantly recognisable. The vivid colourful form to the right of the painting carries in it the sense of mystery and evocation of the supernatural that is explored within the ballet itself.
