7.1 (The Doors)

7.1 (The Doors)

Description: "This was painted just after a powerful earthquake hit Los Angeles in 1994. At the time, Heindel painted what he had done on canvas on two doors in his house. Cracks seem to run through the layers of the floors along with the destroyed streets in the center. But overcoming this disaster are the power of the dancer rising up from the destruction and the energy emanating from her fingertips. When this painting was exhibited, Heindel wanted a space to be created between the two doors. The number 7.1, representing the earthquake's magnitude, is drawn at the end of the blue line crossing the center of the painting.
